Please let me know what impellar to use? I bought it years ago for a 1977
300D, the box was a Myle I recall

I was one who recently mentioned that the stamped steel impellers are not as
efficient in moving water as the factory type with the cast iron impeller.
They will also corode quicker but I doubt if that it a factor in 6K miles.

Look for the MB logo stamped into the housing to get the best pump Also
look carefully into the thermostat housing for large corrosion which would
allow
water to by pass the thermostat and return to the block without passing
through the radiator

Rusty, listed below, has the good water pumps but you will pay a core
charge, probably equal to the price of stamped steel impeller'd pump. Free
shipping (with orders over $75) and no sales tax (most states) will cancel out
some
of the cost.
