I would just find another mechanic, going back to those thieves will only spell trouble. More than likely they use the cheapest parts they can find and do a crappy job if you start getting smart with them. What I look for in a mechanic is fairness, I am willing to pay good money for a good job. A good mechanic can make car ownership that much more enjoyable and having the ability to take your car in to him/her and say fix it please, without having to go through the how much is this gonna cost dance, is a bonus.
