There is more than that, but my memory is getting a bit fuzzy... oil lines
to filter housing, maybe the oil filter housing, I believe some issues with
the plumbing of the vacuum pump. Best to have both cars side by each and
very carefully look at everything.

You don't have to swap the trans, but you will have to adapt the newer
engine to use the linkages from the older engine (your TDT uses a  cable to
control shift points, the older car uses a linkage rod).

Expect 2x hours for routine swap. If you are doing it yourself, take your
time and check everything before your lower the engine in. If a shop is
doing it, make sure it's one where the wrench uses his head not his hands to
think (voice of experience here).
