John,

The center link will affect toe-in. If you have a method to do so, you can
re-set it at home. An alignment shop won't set just the toe-in.

Do you have to re-align the car when replacing the center tie-rod? 
Seeing as it is a fixed length I wouldn't imagine so, but figured I
