Nothing is worse for these cars than deferred maintenance.  They will hit 
you for double what the repair would have cost if it wasn't let go.  For 
example, if the AC compressor on my SD was replaced when it seized, it would 
have cost little more than the compressor itself to straighten things out. 
Now that moisture has entered the system, it will cost way more to fix plus 
the cost of the compressor.  At least I bought the car cheaply enough that I 
can afford to put the investment in it to make it right.  It would have been 
nice to buy one that was perfect, but it would have cost me $4K at least, 
and I didn't have it at the time.
