How difficult is it to take an OM617 out of a 1982 300Dt (W123) and put it in an 1985 300SD (W126)? Do you have to swap the tranny too?
Since acquiring the Behemoth (see sig line), I no longer need the 300D and might just keep the engine and tranny on hand since it is very strong and only has 117K on it...then I could try to part out the 300D...just a thought.
