I found a Watt/BTU converter, it says 7kw = 23,885BTU/hr. That could heat
my home easily, unless the wind is really bad. (fiberglass ceiling
insulation is useless if there is air movement in the well-vented attic)
If you could put the genny indoors, and run a condensing heat exchanger
on the exhaust, you could get 50,000 btu/hr of waste heat from that genny.

Generators burn a lot of fuel and convert 70% or more into heat, so
cogeneration, if you can make it safe, would work quite well. I'd love
to use a water cooled diesel generator for a boiler and electric source,
(biodiesel project) but I can't find one small enough or cheap enough.

Mitch.
