Went out today and found the throttle cable to the trans, it seems to be moving
correctly.
Took the truck for a little ride and the difficult shifts are 1-2 and 2-3. 3-4
seems to work fine.
It seems if I shift from D to N and rev the engine just a bit before going back
to D it'll shift. Driving it a little seemed to make things better.
So my plan is to take my wife to the grocery store. Hopefully it'll improve on
the longer drive as the magic Lucas (terrible name if you ask me) goop works
its way through the trans. Assuming its better or the same I'll plan on getting
the fluid and filter changed.
Its only had the filter changed once since I've owned it (150,000 miles that
I've put on, 209,000 total) the fluid has been changed a couple times but thats
the Speedee fluid pump out deal. I wonder if a clogged filter could cause this?
