The part that bothers me is when they talk about making the existing headlamps dimmer to cut down on alternator drag. If you want to save watts on DRLs, eliminate them. If you are talking headlights at night, making them horribly inefficient by running them at half voltage (series wiring) is beyond stupid. Lowering the voltage with dropping diodes (and wasting watts heating the diodes) is also incredibly stupid.
