Steak N Shake does the same thing. You calibrate the fountain heads daily, using a little kit that Coke supplies to check the "throw" of each beverage mix. If it's off, you have to adjust it until it's right, then the offending head has to be checked again at the next shift change to make sure it's not screwed up.
