I agree about the pleasure of driving. I will go further and say that driving an MB makes even a commute a bit pleasurable. I drive 3-500 miles a week. Even the mix of fast and then stop and go driving is more pleasurable in my 124 300D. I keep thinking of selling it and driving just the 240D stick, which was a gift, as that would make more sense financially. But if I have to drive that much I want it to be a pleasure, so I keep the 300D 2.5t. The only other kind of car that I had that was a pleasure for driving and even commuting was my SAAB 900S 5 speed. And-per the conversation the other day about new cars-if I could afford it I would buy a new CDI. I test drove one last summer at the stealer's-what a pleasure.
