Well, I have a 124 wagon, and as an alternative, I've opted for a mid-'90's
Audi wagon (100CSQ) as my wintertime go-to wheels. The car possesses most
of the good stuff I like about the 124 and some new things found on more
modern vehicles...as well as a killer AWD system that actually works
flawlessly. I think a '94 - '95 E320 wagon would be a very fine vehicle,
assuming it's been well taken care of over the years. They can generally be
had for between $3500 and $6500
