Original Post: I'm looking at a car in Atlanta that one day just decided it didn't want to start. When the key is turned nothing happens, no noises, etc. The owner tried starting it in neutral, and has cranked the engine over by hand. Now: I'm going to ask the guy to see if the lights dim when he tries to start it. If they don't the starter is probably not the problem and 'jumping' the starter might work.
