I know you are furiously thumbing through your owners manual hoping to
find that elusive paragraph that reads: "Achtung Achtung, you
schweinehunds do not ever ever be using external cables to provide power
to die batterie das ist not working. Using telefone contact help from us
and we will be helping soon but not on ze weekender or after die 5 hour.
Und if you are far away you are best to find room for ze night or week
but is recommended to put car on lorry for shipping back to our repair
centre. You also to be remembering the reason we lost the war is that
idioten where using the external power cabling to make the panzers work
and that destroyed ze electronics and zhen the radio was not working and
the panzer people could not use the radio to talken to the fuehrer."
However insults directed at me won't cut the cheese like hard facts
will, so Rodger I suggest you get cracking and find the relevant info in
your wee little booklet. I guess it should be in the glove box, which
should on the other side of the car from where you sit and turn that
round thingy. Although you'll probably need the owners manual to figure
out how to open the glove box without frying the electronics. Might be
best if you just call the roadside assistance people to come and open
the glove box for you.

Kind regards,

Hendrik
who is still on the lookout for a owners manual for my TE but might have
to cry and give the stealers 65 beans for a newy
