I did this (http://superturbodiesel.com/std/topic2.html) mod last weekend. Noticeable improvement across the board especially above 3k rpm. 3hours including a few trips to the store. I do not have an EGT sensor installed yet, but recommend it for anyone else (next project is swapping newer engine in so what me worry about the current one).
