Doesn't the Prius have a continuously variable tranny to transfer power from
either/or both engines/motors as necessary according to load/acceleration
requirements, etc?

BTW, wouldn't the Voltsrabbit  tend to be unstable in certain situations; in
a turn, for example, when being pushed on the centerline - much like trying
to stop a heavy trailer in a turn.  I bet it requires some additional
driving "finesse" in push mode.
