Once you get into the 300's you are talking big limousine, the Maybach of the time, with the 300d being the most common and famous but there where others but I am pretty sure they never made a 300s. They started with the 300a then b,c and finally the d, which got the nickname Adenauer. Note the small d, this designates a particular version rather than the type of engine as in 300D or 300E.
