Effectively no. I think there was an entry for the other machine on the LAN, but I don't remember for sure. But the hosts file was still there. And the worm had put 127.0.0.1 for the major anti-virus vendor sites. Sneaky, no? I now have those machines running WinPatrol, a dandy MS Windows watchdog. It yelps if anything attempts to muck about with critical parts. But as I am _not_ a MS Win sys admin, one day soon, when I have a few spare hours during a visit, I'll get Debian installed and dodge the whole mess. I will need to get a hardware modem for the whole thing to fly... -- Philip _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
