Gotta go with WOnko on this one - many engineers - esp mech and chem Es make more than lawyers. The problem is too many lawyers and not enuf engineers -
I worked as a project controls engineer for nearly 40 years - got to the position of "Planning, Scheduling and Cost Control Engineering Manager" for a multi-billion $$ project and several multi-hundred million $$ projects by OJT - technically had a Engineer attached to my title even tho I didn;t go thru the pain & hardships of becoming an engineer. When I became disabled in 12/00 I was making over 100K - more than many lawyers - IIRC the median income of lawyers was around $60K.
