Maybe just a lazy or busy dieselhead. I have several little problems with my 
car that could and should be fixed but
I just have not got to them yet. If he wants to sell it, then he may have 
either decided not to invest any more
time, effort and money in it or has been driven to that end by the malfunctions 
and his own inability to cope with
them.

mistaking Tex seats for leather, but what part of the big red "STOP"
on the lever on the IP don't you understand?  (And how hard is it to
diagnose a vacuum leak on a 123 240D, anyway?  There's like ten feet
of vacuum line in the entire car.)
