Hi Shalabh, I would suggest you to do the following steps: 1. Right click on the "QuickTest Professional" icon on the desktop 2. Click on "Troubleshoot Compatibility" 3. Click on "Try Recommended Settings"
Then run the program from that window. Please remember to run this program as Administrator. Initially, QTP 10 does not recognize IE8 as browser. So, you need to also enable "IE" 32 bit to run as "Administrator". To do so, follow the trouble shooting steps: 1. Right click on IE shortcut 2. Choose “Properties” 3. Click on “Advanced” button under “Shortcut” tab. 4. Check “Run as Administrator” and click “OK” 5. Then “OK”. I have faced this issue with Windows 7 and that too for a licensed version.
