The other explanation is that the server has lost some TCP buffers
due to a driver bug or a denial-of-service attack. Such things are
known 8-(
My FTP server has been unusually active this week (or, rather,
unusually not inactive!), in particular there seems to be a surge of
interest from Poland, with quite a number of people downloading
prime95.zip 8-)
