Are you talking about a linux system?! Add a cron job executing:
ifup ppp0 (or your distro's equivalent to get up the dail up link) sleep 10 mprime -c sleep 5 ifdown ppp0 Every week for instance (also configure mprime accordingly) Configure mprime to not contact priment automatically. However, this system won't be dialled up directly and it would be good if this system could request a dial-up when it requires it. Thus the following idea: Have an option that mprime can run a program of the user's choice when it wants to make a network connection for any reason, and perhaps another when it has finished. As both of these are noted in the "-d" output, this should be very simple to code in. > > Yours, > > ======= Gareth Randall ======= > > > _________________________________________________________________________ > Unsubscribe & list info -- http://www.ndatech.com/mersenne/signup.htm > Mersenne Prime FAQ -- http://www.tasam.com/~lrwiman/FAQ-mers > _________________________________________________________________________ Unsubscribe & list info -- http://www.ndatech.com/mersenne/signup.htm Mersenne Prime FAQ -- http://www.tasam.com/~lrwiman/FAQ-mers
