Hi, I've found that trying to use the 'ResizeRedirectMask' causes my window manager to freeze up. Using /usr/lib/Mesa-3.0/xdemos/glxdemo.c as a base example I made one change. I added the mask ResizeRedirectMask to the line "attr.event_mask = StructureNotifyMask | ExposureMask | ResizeRedirectMask;" That was the only modification I made to the program, and it causes the window manager to freeze up. I'm using RedHat Linux 6.0 and Mesa 3.0. I'm not sure if this is a Mesa, RedHat, X or user bug, but thought I'd start with Mesa.
