That's actually fairly uncommon. You hit the point here. I want the later, uncommon thing. I am not thinking of rendering a final image, like everyone else. I want to create a translucent image that can be used later on top of another image, with perfectly blending smooth edges. The colors must be non-premultiplied, or the result is crap when it is finally blended to some random background. As nobody else ever seems to need this, it can be restricted to software renderer. It is just efficient and convinient for me to do it this way.
