Did this change already happen?
I'm seeing below error about the non-existing i915tex_dri.so when starting X, 
with the the latest mesa and xf86-video-intel.

(EE) AIGLX error: dlopen of /opt/X11R7/lib/dri/i915tex_dri.so failed 
(/opt/X11R7/lib/dri/i915tex_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such 
file or directory)
(EE) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering
