Unless you really really need this in daisy for some other fixes, it doesn't
make much sense to push it there just for gcc-4.9 and linux-4.1 changes, which
are not supported in daisy...
The main purpose of this patch is to fix the compilation with gcc-4.9
and linux4.1, but also some typos and compiler warnings have been resolved.
