I tried to send up patches for review on the list. But it appears that they're
stuck in a queue somewhere.

As sent out previously, these changes start to cover the items that we plan
to develop over the next 3-6 months.
Highlights:
- Remove SOC_VARIANT, everything is now feature based.
- New meta-xilinx-multimedia layer
+ Note gstreamer is not yet ported
- New meta-xilinx-mali400 layer
+ ZynqMP EG and EV mali400 libmali support
+ We recommend you use mesa support, unless you want/need the proprietary
libmali driver.
- Beginning support to be able to runqemu boot with a split QSPI/OSPI and
SD/EMMC configuration.
+ Working toward making this easier to implement.
+ Runqemu can now interpret a boot.bin, extract the components and use
those in the boot process for the emulated system
- Rename meta-xilinx-standalone-experimental to meta-xilinx-standalone-sdt
+ Note 'XSCT' (meta-xilinx-tools) is now deprecated, we recommend
considering using system device tree workflow instead. (Not applicable
for microblaze, Zynq7000, or other specific configuations.)
- Various package renames

These changes are designed to sync with the changes made to meta-xilinx.
Two significant changes are included:
1) XSCT extraction is now handled via a package instead of a class
- This is still experimental and further changes may be needed.
2) This layer is now loadable in a project along with the SDT layer.
- Behavior is switched based on XILINX_WITH_ESW setting.
