This is probably just a problem with the way the colormap is stored
with the image.  See previous discussions on this issue in the
archives for this list at
http://www.mail-archive.com/metacard%40lists.best.com/

Color cursors aren't supported.  Even if they were, it would be a bad
idea idea to use them because they wouldn't work on the majority of
systems out there because of lack of OS support for this "feature".
