Hi.

No problems to report this time :-) just something I'm curious about :-0

In the midst of porting a win stack to mac, I accidentally discovered
that my mac can play some of the original stack's wav files.
Specifically, wav files called up by the player object sound fine,
whereas files called up by the play command sound like nails on a
blackboard. I'm surprised by this difference since I thought wav was Win
specific (I double checked that the files were indeed wav).

Is there something about the nature of the player object I don't know
about (quicktime, perhaps)? It'd be nice to know I can rely on this
behaviour re-occuring on any mac machine and thus avoid having to
convert all my wav files to au!

Cheers.
