Bruce,

you might try using one of the html externals for hypercard to generate 
the html to bring into metacard or one of the freeware html editors out 
there. know the resistance to moving up to word98, still one of the most 
suspect applications on my system when there is a crash... hc is still a 
nice system for doing programmed text manipulation and file output for 
purposes like this (try to program ms word to bold all headers and such). 
plus using the various externals lets you choose your input/output easily.
