World's First Globalized Software Released

Boonville, California -- May 4, 2001 --- Smart Tools, Incorporated (707/895-2584, www.oenolog.com) released OenoLog Version III. Designed to allow end-user translation and capable of distribution in a single version world-wide, Version III is the world's first globalized business software. Its function is to convert Apple iBook laptops to dedicated production control instruments for winemakers.

The foundation for OenoLog globalization was layed in version 2+, where most screen titles were replaced with icons and a button to change the user-prompt language was added. Version III completes the process by making date, time, & number display Control Panel compliant, converting the online manual to html, and adding a translation screen so the user can customize the prompts or create a new set of prompts in a different language.
