Quicktime... that may explain it. I installed a new game last week, and it installed some Quicktime things, and apparently deleted or disabled a piece of Quicktime that I had running. I haven't had a chance to pin it down to reinstall it. I've had other weird goings on because of the missing QT piece. Never occurred to me that this might be connected. I will also try the dontUseQT call and see if that fixes it.
