Your response gave me enough of a clue to do a search on the net and uncover the fact that it's probably a Mac operating system code name or component or something. I found this on an Apple site which makes it sound like Darwin is a code name for the Unix kernel.
Mac OS X also marks the debut of true preemptive multitasking. Darwin, Mac OS X's underlying code, constantly analyzes your computer needs. It works on processing tasks on the background. But when you receive an e-mail or have an urgent need, Darwin will allocate processing power to your immediate tasks. As you can probably tell, I'm not too familiar with Mac's. Anyway, thank you! _______________________________________________ metacard mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/metacard
