Have you tried Rev's native "create alias" command?
I did try Metacard's native command :-) A known, reported bug in my
version of Metacard, apparently. I use the native command for Windows,
but OSX needed a workaround.
Yes, I found BZ#1059:
<http://support.runrev.com/bugdatabase/show_bug.cgi?id=1059>
As per that report, I can create aliases to files without issue, but not
to folders or bundles. :(
The workaround cited there is to use the shell command "ln".
I expect I will be upgrading to Revolution next year after Intel Mac's
come out. I am currently using MC 2.4.3, one of the last versions
before the merge with Revolution. Makes no sense to upgrade until I can
compile for the new Macs with it :-) I am assuming that Intel will use
a different compile than OSX...
It will be many months before RunRev releases an Intel-native version of
the engine. Apple has targeted June as their main transition date.
While some consumer models (iBook, maybe iMac) are rumored to premier in
January, the pro models (towers, PowerBooks) aren't expected until May
at the earliest.
The engine is currently at v2.6.6 -- a lot of great new features have
been added since v2.4.3, along with dozens of bug fixes. IMHO it's well
worth upgrading.
