Thanks. I'll learn to think vertically. I was thinking subtables were functionally similar to tables. Top level tables can be added whenver you want, in effect horizonally. However, subtables function different and is best to approach vertically. Is there a limit to top level tables? 1000, 10,000? When does the overhead of managing that in one file become cumbersome? Again, thanks, john __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Protect your identity with Yahoo!
