Dear community, I've tried to summarize some of the goals of metalinks on this page, which I'm submitting for review here.
http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/metalinks/wiki/WhatAreMetalinks The page is a quick 10 minute set-up which I hope will become a good short on what metalinks are and are about. I'm posting the commit here to see if I've missed key issues or people think it's wrong on any of the things it currently lists.
