Hello folks,
On feb 20, 2000 I visited Vapor's site and MetalWEB awakened my
attention. So I downloaded the demo to find out more about it.
Honestly, I was disappointed for some reasons like :
- for some unknown reason, terribly slow on my A4000/040 @ 25 MHz ( full
68040 with FPU ) with graphic card. Typing goes not faster than 3 to 4
chars/second.
- I can see the source window, but I cannot edit or type in there. btw:
this window scrolls awfully unbelievable slow.
- As far as I have tested it, images cannot be accessed with backwards
relation, e.g. IMG SRC="..//images//whatever.gif" does not work ( YAM
sometimes has trouble with single slashes, so I typed them twice HERE
but I mean one ). To get these images, the full path is needed and is
inserted "as is" in the source code, which obviously won't work when
uploaded on an internet website. Forward relations however do work as
expected. Maybe the same is true for links to other pages within the
same site, I haven't checked this out.
Any one else who recognizes one or more of these problems ?
