Hi again Mohamed,

Let me give you some valuable advice.

#1 Meteoritics and Geology go hand in hand.  I recommend that you study both.

#2 The only way to know for sure if a rock is a meteorite is to have the rock tested at a reputable laboratory.

#3 There are many rocks and minerals that look very much like meteorites.  But no one can say for sure, when looking at a picture, whether a sample is one or the other.  So when you send a picture to the list there is no possible way that you will get the result you desire.  You must send any samples to a Laboratory.

#4 Keep in mind, that the odds of finding a meteorite are stacked against you greatly.  If you keep looking, you may find one.  But it could take several years.

Again, if you would be so kind as to show us all of your pictures at one time at the end of your holiday, you will even earn the respect of the people who have a hard time respecting others before being respected first.  Enjoy your holiday and good luck.

Thanks in advance,
George Nicula

Subject: [meteorite-list] dare you say this is not LUNAR

Please look at the pictures of this nice brecciated lunar meteorite with fusion crust that I found today:
Also, the pictures that I showed you a while ago, turned out to be lunar as well (Mare Basalt), as one of the REAL experts in the field agreed. Testing is undergoing now. You can compare the pictures below to Asuka-881757 and Dhofar587:

In a way you helped me alot by refusing whatever I post; this gave me more enthusiasm to look for undefeatable proofs.

Regards....
Mohamed
