Jay,

Sorry for the late response.  I have been busy filing orders for meteorites.  Everything I posted the other day has sold.

Large tektites can be found for sale.  I have several 100+ gram pieces in my collection.  I got them a few years ago from Paul Liu of Great Wall Consulting.  The URL is here:

Many of the Chinese Tektites you see on ebay were obtained from Paul (for pennies/gram)!

Also, check out the Paul and Jim's Meteorite Exchange website.  http://www.meteorite.com/  They have a nice selection from many localities and I believe more will be added soon.

BTW, there is a guy selling on ebay who goes by the id "dagoodstuff" who sells "large" and "huge" indochinites of 40 and 50 grams.  Don't fall for this.  It is misleading seller hype.  A 40 or 50 gram Chinese tektite is by no means large and can be had for a lot less than his selling price.

Best wishes,

-Walter

Subject: [meteorite-list] Unusually Large Tektites

Hi List,

While looking around on the net & such I noticed that there are hardly if any large tektites (50 gms+ indochinite). I was wondering if anyone knows where some can be found for sale that are quite large and any ideas of prices. I dont know as of yet but later on I might want to get one or two.thanks in advance.

P.S. Keep an eye on my site for this weekend. If I am not working all weekend (which I might seeing I work in a movie theatre and Spiderman is coming out) I will be doing a major update to my site as I got alot of new information set up to be put up.
