Dear list,
Lets see what MicroMike has to say about this image
we received today. This is an image of an extraterrestrial Fe-bearing
carbonate found in NWA 998 orthopyroxene-bearing Nakhlite. I do
not think it can compete with Spidy though!

Here is another image showing a discrete
crystal of orthopyroxene, the major component of ALH84001, found in NWA
998. Several of these crystals exist and it
is the first time ever found in a Nakhlite.

I will be leaving town for about 3-4 days so I will
not be available to answer questions regarding these images. I promise to
post more when I return if anybody is interested. I was kind of
bored tonight and thought it might be interesting to some other List
members.
