Dear Mark, and List;
I have been oozing over with bliss since I have been seeing the "wanta be" process and the "reality is reality" post. Ol' Arley from the TV show "MAIL CALL" uses a few terms that seems to fit...Maybe we could start up a "Meteorite Mail Call" to ferret out the "grabasstically organized statements" or "bolognariffic-huey" spread by some among us who are greater than life...and themselves....
Alright Recruit, drop that metal detector, that is not a tektite, its a melted beer bottle stupid! No you can't name that meteorite before its time! Now git away from that keyboard, maggot!
Best,
Dave F.

You are correct Mike. It is not up to Steve Arnold or anyone else in Chicago to decide what the name will be. It is not up to any one person either. The Nomenclature Committee gets together every so often and votes on names Many times a meteorite is sold before it is named and many times the Nomenclature Committee has decided on a different name then the name used by Meteorite dealers and collectors. Hadeja.....:-) will have to wait untill it gets voted on before it has any "official" name.

My advise there is maybe you should try to more thoughts in your e-mails to List members which often come off, in my opinion, as rude and to quote you, that you do not know what you are saying. You are about to become the only person I have ever blocked twice.

However, I would like to congradulate Eric Twelker for getting this meteorite months before anyone else. It is common for one dealer to get a meteorite before anyone else, but usually in a timespan of weeks. Eric Twelker has done a great job and getting us nice meteorites for our collections. Tagish Lake being another great example. So the question I would have is not, what will the name be, but rather, what will Eric find next?
