It was most definitely caught on many cameras. I just saw it in a couple of clips on CNN. The images they showed aren't very good. There are probably better ones out there. But in the CNN clips, you can tell it was breaking up into smaller pieces. And you can see the point at which it went into 'dark flight'. I don't know, but from the video clips I saw, it looks like a few pretty good sized chunks of something may have survived the trip through the atmosphere. I hope there were enough pictures taken from different perspectives to work out the trajectory, and possible impact zones.

Arizona might have a new happy hunting ground.

Yes Mark that would be the time I was trying to describe, 7:45 local time. I posted right away within 3 minutes of seeing it.

Erik,
Do you mean 7:45 pm local time? About 10 minutes before your post?

Very exciting - hopefully someone caught this one on camera!
Thanks,
Mark

Hi list.
I just went for a quick lap around my apartments at McClintock and University here in Tempe. I started at approx 7:45pm GMT and while I was running south I saw a vibrant green fireball streak, break up and then it went dark. Unfortunately I wasn't close enough to hear a sonic boom but I did hear a very soft pop like a bottle rocket far away. It appeared to be 25 degrees West of South and was about 20-30 degrees from the horizon. It's was moving fairly slow so I assume it was far south. Can someone check Doppler? It must have had a better sighting further South like in Casa Grande or Tucson.
