Silliman was a great guy of course, - but it seems this is the perpetuation of the Jefferson misatribution and myth Unfortunately this book is grossly inaccurate and poorly sourced. Totally errs on Thomas Jefferson and paints Silliman as the man who invented meteoritics, practically ignores Howard and all the rest...
