Hi Folks, Can anyone explain to me the process used to make so-called Campo del Cielo 'crystals'? The usual explanation, that they are made by shattering larger pieces than have been supercooled with liquid nitrogen, does not convince me. If that were the case I would expect more geometric forms with sharp edges. However, many examples are quite rounded and look as though they have been (recently) molten. I would be grateful for any observations.
