A delusion is a false belief. What is the delusion, exactly? That "expertise" is not necessarily what experts claim it to be? Has it not been revealed how shallow this "expertise" is, in many cases, by the very fact that arguments with no more substantation than that based on one's expertise itself are being made? That's a self fulfilling prophecy: "You're an expert because your expertise has demonstrated it. You have expertise because you're an expert." Just because you've found a meteorite, many, studied them, or gotten a degree in the profession, it does not mean you can not act fraudulently. As I've stated before, it's something so obvious that stating it is bordering on the absurd, but there it is.
