Hi Art and List,

That is so true. I really enjoy spending my time exploring the deserts. I can't
wait to see what the forecasted El Nino rains will uncover in the desert
Southwest. I found some sea shells out in the middle of the sand dunes (of all
places). I assume they were transported there. Or maybe even traded by the
Native Americans?

Speaking of Native Americans,I had the privilege to be invited to a ceremonial
dance in Arizona on a large Reservation. It was great to experience their
culture and to witness their dances. What an awesome experience. I was even
given a handmade basket which is used in their traditional dances by one of the
tribal members. The whole experience was surreal and I will cherish the
memories forever.

formeteorites.That's cool, Sonny.InFebruary I found a SOG knife on a dry lake
bed in Nevada while 'finding'meteorites and mentioned I found "a knife". A
friend asked if it was a, "GraySOG knife found on Dry Lake ____...". Sure
enough it was his that he lost twoyears prior and that it was a special gift
from his son. I was happy to returnit back to him after it had a short vaca in
Florida. Needless to say Jim W.was absolutely thrilled to have it back!

exploring areas in Nevada and Utahfor meteorites and photo opportunities. It is
amazing how many unique treasuresyou are able to find. Not to mentionthe
wildlife and weather events. I hopeto post a few pictures later. I did find a
retractable meteorite cane on a lakebed. Not the treasure I was hoping for! It
looks like it has been lying on thelake bed surface for a year or two bu
t still in great shape. Email off list ifyou think this is yours and want
