Lunar [meteorite] Replica
Yes, Please nobody confuse me with my brother, Adam. Do not ever think I am
like that!
I bailed him out on NWA 5000 in June 2013. I have represented Adam and his
long time and current NWA 5000 partner, Jeff Kroschell, well before I
rescued the majority of the mass from being returned to the Moroccan owners
to be utterly destroyed and spread around after the hammer, not unlike Adam
is doing now with his eBay sales. A 2-year and growing disgrace!
Even before I rescued my brother and the meteorite itself, I sold the (at
the time) the only complete slice to the benefit of Adam AND his partner,
Jeff Kroschell. During mine and Adam's NWA 5000 'partnership' (I say that
loosely) I sold other complete slices which Adam and presumably Jeff
Kroschell benefitted equally to me. Adam dropped the ball after about 2010
and he let NWA 5000 become stagnant. Me, and my company, Nature's Vault,
Inc., represented and professionally sold NWA 5000 to some of the 'world's
most influential' individuals with my hard work and expense. In addition to
my purchasing 50% of the remaining mass in June 2013 directly from the
rightfully impatient Moroccans owners for non-payment, I was also given
access to the intellectual rights to the web site and the mold which Jeff
Kroschell and Adam made together! To this day my ungrateful and threatening
brother benefits from my directing people to HIM by my worldly efforts with
NWA 5000. I owe him nothing!!
I am very proud of all of my efforts in my NWA 5000 representation and
ethical sales! I will not be bullied by opportunists and ungrateful users!
For the record, in ONLY the last week was I informed about NWA 10495, and
have it confirmed by Tony Irving (same one who consulted on my Yale
display), and without physical proof of Kalahari, it is still a myth until a
particular dealer thinks he can draw it out of the shadows and sell it to
the Maine Mineral Museum (Barbara in this thread).
I have not 'misrepresented' NWA 5000 in any way as the very unprofessional,
and nearly slanderous acquisitions manager has accused me of in this thread.
I will not be bullied by her or her dealer either!
I've worked too hard for the benefit of everyone, especially a very
ungrateful ex-business partner, my estranged brother.
I suggest you all pay attention to your own business. Life is too short to
continue messing with me! I will not tolerate being slandered, used or
accused. Get over yourselves!!
Best regards,
Greg Hupe

I do not want to be confused with Greg on the latest round of claims or
business dealings. I operate independently.
I only claimed NWA 5000 was the largest Highlands lunar meteorite ever
found and the largest to ever be put on public display. This has always
been clearly stated on my copyrighted website which was created long
before Greg became involved and needs to be updated..
I give Kalahari 009 the benefit of the doubt on my website, although it
has never been weight certified or shown in public. The weight remains
unofficial and looks to be rounded off or guesstimated to me. Some doubt
its existence or that it is even lunar. I have never seen it, know very
little about it, don't like how it was managed and have very little
interest in it.

http://themeteoritesite.com/
For the record, I created the mold and casting system for the NWA 5000
main mass and maintain all the rights; artistic, intellectual, copyrighted
and otherwise. I authorized one additional casting to be used for
promotional purposes only and not to be resold. I spent over 200 hours
designing and creating a near perfect mold of the complete NWA 5000 main
mass and a procedure for producing castings without bubbles or a
noticeable seam.
I have a few questions in regards to NWA 10495:.
I do not recall seeing images of NWA 10495 which is claimed to weigh
12.120 kg. Has it been weight certified in front of witnesses and are
there any images? Is it a reassembled puzzle, many stones or as single
mass? If it does turn out to be a single largest certified lunar mass, I
will be the first to offer congratulations.
In any case, I want everybody to know that I have never misrepresented NWA
5000 and have nothing to do with current claims or events.
My claim is that NWA 5000 is simply the best and most desirable lunar
meteorite found to date which is backed up with facts on my website.

Greg,
I had given you the benefit of doubt. Your awareness of our acquisitions
indicates your knowledge of NWA 10495, making your misrepresentations to
the list and others all the more troubling.
Sincerely,
Barbra

Welcome to the Meteorite List Barbara!
First congratulations on what has been sold to you and your museum, I am
very well aware of what you have been sold and the new Maine Mineral
Museum. I am glad you came out in public asking everyone, including all
of the Moroccan dealers, to contact you directly to save you money on
Moroccan purchases! Helps everyone and the Moroccans make more profits!!
Each 'NWA 5000' I offer was individually painted by hand, by an artist,
therefore each one is unique and a 'One-of-a-Kind' work of art. Plus I
did much personal hand work on them! Thank you for your interest!
I look forward to visiting your museums treasures when it opens in the
fall!! :)

Greetings to All,
While I have enjoyed reading the posts and have yet to post anything
myself, I feel compelled to make my first comment.
NWA 5000 is indeed an exquisite lunar meteorite. However, there are
bigger lunars. Kalahari 009 and NWA 10495, both exceed NWA 5000’s
original mass. I’m writing now because I have been honored to curate
the main mass of NWA 10495, which weighs 12.120 kg. Accuracy is
important and it is impaired by exaggeration. While bigger doesn’t
always mean better, when extolling the virtues of the largest lunar
meteorite...size matters! Records get broken and we have new
achievements to celebrate, but it is not right to celebrate NWA 5000 as
being the largest lunar meteorite found…(and respectfully, nor can
there be at least three one-of-a-kind works of art).
