I agree with your last postings, Gentlemen. Btw. this is a beautiful big
iron and heavily regmaglypted iron without any doubt, but as far as I
can see on the pics: overcleaned, unfortunately.
This is my personal estimate, of course.
All the best

The Meteorite is real. That’s not a problem. The problem it that there
are 1000 people brokering it, none of whom own it or have ever even
seen it. It sits in Algeria pretty much untouchable.
I am a serious buyer but the games being played with it make it a
scam. When I see it delivered to my house in Tucson I’ll know it’s
really for sale.

Thanks for this update, Mike, and for the crucial info on this
meteorite.
Something told me that you would have the "low-down" on this specimen.
Even thought about contacting you, but I decided not to bother you.
Glad no damage was done, and no one got hurt in this fiasco. But it
sure is a shame,
that this great looking iron meteorite is now "lost to the ages".
Wonder where it is?
Too bad there isn't a discussion group that discusses meteorites such
as this one.
Too late to join Facebook.

All sales of mythological iron meteorites are hereby permanently

Where have you been Bob? This iron has been on the market for last
year and a half. Waste of time. I’ve tried to buy it. Your “friends”
surely don’t own it any more than anyone else sharing the photos.
I’ve received them from people in Kenya, U.K., China, and about 1000
Moroccans.
It’s a total scam.
Good luck suckers.

meteorite-hunters have contacted me to report that they have
recovered a 255kg iron from the Sahara Desert in Algeria. This was
well before April Fools Day, and the photos of it in-situ and
"oiled-up" are very convincing. I immediately put them in contact
with an officially-approved institution here in USA for
classification. Apparently, they declined to cut this
wonderful-looking and huge mass of iron (and no smaller masses have
been found), until after they have a confirmed buyer. I probably
should say "buyers", because I feel it will take a "consortium" of
buyers to meet their asking price of

all were bogus. That's why they came to me to help them with
filtering-out the scammers. So, when I say that I will only forward
"serious offers", I'm serious. And, this is the limit of my
involvement with this find. That, and helping to get this iron
classified and made "official".
