Guess what? I was totally surprised to see a Meteorite List post yesterday
from Al Lang. And then, today, another post from another list member - another
one!

I had not gotten any posts for several years and assumed Art had let the list
die.
I am pleased to see it is still here.

After a long recovery from my major back surgery in the spring of 2015, I was
diagnosed with liver cancer. This eventually lead to a Liver Transplant. To
prevent
organ rejection, I now take drugs to suppress my immune system. This
meant I had to quit teaching on campus and teach exclusively online.
It also stopped me from going to Tucson Shows. Other than connecting with a
few meteorite friends I’ve been pretty much “off grid” to the meteorite world
for
quite a while now.

I lost an important friend, as well, with the death of Jerry Armstrong who
turned me onto Ancient Coins. I have become serious about collecting and
selling ancient Meteorite Coins, though I don't even have my Meteorite websight
up again yet.
With the colaberation of Tim Heitz I published a book on ancient meteorite
coins
- which already needs a second edition.
Anyway - it feels great to feel re-connected to a community I missed in my
brush with
death, even if I am now too old to be as active as I once was (78 now).
Hoping to see a lot more posts from the meteorite list in days to come.
Best regards to all,Michael Blood
